Sometimes it’s just a gentle hand on my shoulder when I’m down or a text that he’ll pick up the kids so I can finish up my work... or take a nap...(thank the lord) He believes in my dreams even when I don’t! He makes me laugh ... he hates when I cry.. He tries to listen even when I don’t make much sense...
I try not to lose it when he puts the pizza box in the regular garbage ,leaves his dirty plate in the clean sink, gives the kids Cheetos when I’m not looking and only remembers prior commitments 5 minutes before he’s supposed to be there!
I like that we argue really well ... not backing each other in a corner. We still dress up and make the effort to ... laugh ... even when hard times linger... Meeting him in bed after a difficult day! Yeah that’s the best...
